Wang, Li, and Knox Share Lead After Opening Round at LNGA Amateur

Zi Ge (Rebecca) Wang of China and a Northwestern University commit, Amber Li of the University of Washington, and Kennedy Knox of the University of Washington each carded a 3-under 69 to share the lead after the opening round of the 95th LNGA Amateur Championship at The Home Course in DuPont, Washington.

The trio holds a one-shot advantage over a tightly packed leaderboard, with five players tied for fourth at two under. That group includes Nena Wongthanavimok (USA, University of Arizona), Aamiya Koul (Singapore), Huai-Chien Hsu (Taiwan, University of Texas), Mia Nixon (USA, Texas A&M), and Jie-En Lin (Taiwan), all of whom opened with rounds of 70.

Caroline Smith (USA, Indiana University alumn) and Bentley Cotton (USA, University of Texas alumn) round out the top ten at 1 under.
