Kailer Stone of the United States and Pepperdine University commit and Qiyou Wu of the People's Republic of China and the University of Notre Dame commit, each carded a 5-under 66 at Trinity Forest Golf Club to share the lead after the opening round of the 2025 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in Dallas, Texas.
The first two rounds of stroke play are being held across Trinity Forest and Brook Hollow Golf Club. After Tuesday's second round, the top 64 players will advance to match play.
Stone, a Pepperdine commit, and Wu are tied atop a leaderboard that includes five players at 4 under. Stuart Boulware (USA), Adam Villanueva (USA, University of Texas), Ben Bolton (England), and Miles Russell (USA, Florida State commit) all played their first rounds at Trinity Forest. Mason Howell, one of four players tied at 3 under, opened at Brook Hollow.

Tournament Schedule and Format
Stroke play is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday across both venues. Match play begins Wednesday and continues through Saturday. The championship match will be played at Trinity Forest over 36 holes on Saturday, July 26.
