Doggett Sets the Pace with Opening 63 at Magnolia Amateur

Grant Doggett posted a blistering eight under 63 to take the solo lead after round one of the 2025 Magnolia Amateur at Hattiesburg Country Club. Doggett, who began his round on the back nine, went out in 31 and came in with 32 to set the early tournament pace.

Nicolas Dominguez is two shots back in solo second at six under after a 65, while three players are tied for third at five under. Peyton Russell, Jon Ed Steed, and Mason Lewis each carded 66 to close day one inside the top five.

Three players share sixth place at four under: Seth Bearden, Seth Campbell, and Jackson Skinner. Skinner posted 31 on one nine and 32 on the other after beginning his round on hole 17.

Tadgh Burke and Jackson Benge round out the top ten at three under par.
