Tyler Weaver Leads Stroke Play as England Tops Leaderboard at European Amateur Team Championship
Tyler Weaver of England and Florida State University posted twelve under across three rounds at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club to finish first in the individual standings at the European Amateur Team Championship. His consistent play helped England dominate the stroke play portion, finishing at forty-four under as a team to secure the number one seed heading into match play.
Weaver opened round two with a six-under front nine that included four birdies, four pars, and a hole-in-one. He held off teammate Charlie Forster of Long Beach State University and Italy’s Riccardo Fantinelli of Princeton University, who finished second and third, respectively.
England will enter match play as the top seed, followed by Ireland at twenty-five under. Denmark and Italy were close behind at twenty-four under.
