Toby Wilt Wins 116th Texas Amateur

Toby Wilt, a standout from Texas Christian University, claimed the 116th Texas Amateur Championship at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas, finishing at 12 under par with rounds of 66, 67, 64, and 71.

Wilt entered the final round with a two-shot lead and maintained his advantage on a challenging Sunday. He held off a late charge from his brother, Hudson Wilt, who finished at 10 under to share runner-up honors. With the win, Toby Wilt earned an exemption into the 125th U.S. Amateur Championship.

Ridgewood’s demanding layout tested players throughout the week, but Toby's consistent ball striking and composed approach made him one of the few players to post all four rounds under par.

The victory adds to a strong summer résumé for the TCU Horned Frog, who now joins the list of recent Texas Amateur champions to compete at the national level.
