Preview: 2025 Northeast Amateur Invitational at Wannamoisett Country Club
The 63rd Northeast Amateur Invitational will be contested from June 18–21, 2025, at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, Rhode Island. This tournament serves as the second leg of the Elite Amateur Golf Series and awards critical points toward the PGA TOUR University rankings and an exemption into the U.S. Amateur.
Headliners in the 2025 Field
Anthony Delisanti (Valparaiso University): The 2024 Northeast Amateur champion returns to defend his title following a wire-to-wire victory last summer at Wannamoisett.
Bryan Lee (University of Virginia): Finished runner-up in 2024 and re-enters the field with competitive experience at this venue.
Cameron Tankersley (University of Mississippi): Tied for third at last year’s championship and looks to build on that performance.
Paul Chang (University of Virginia): Placed inside the top 10 in 2024, entering this year’s event with proven scoring ability on this course.
Ben James (University of Virginia): Ranked No. 3 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and a 2025 First Team All-American, James enters as one of the top-ranked players in the field.

Established in 1962, the Northeast Amateur is one of the most prestigious amateur events in the world. Hosted annually at Wannamoisett, it has served as a springboard for numerous future PGA TOUR professionals, including Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, and Ben Crenshaw.
