Sunnehanna Amateur Round Three Recap

Round three at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, featured low scores across the leaderboard as several top collegiate and amateur players made big moves. With just one round remaining, the stage is set for a tightly contested finish heading into Saturday’s final round.

Top 10 Leaders – After Three Rounds

1. Tyler Watts
(University of Tennessee, USA) – 197 (66, 67, 64)
Watts fired the round of the day with a 6-under 64, climbing into solo first at 13-under. The Tennessee Volunteer commit has gone lower each round and enters Saturday with a one-shot lead.

2. Ryan Voois (University of Illinois, USA) – 198 (65, 68, 65)
Voois matched his opening round with another 65 on Saturday to stay within one. His sharp iron play and consistency have kept him in the mix from day one.

3. Gabriel Palacios (Utah, Guatemala)199 (67, 68, 64)
Palacios surged with a third-round 64, tied for the lowest of the day, moving into a share of third and giving himself a shot at the title heading into Sunday.

4. Cole Rueck (Boise State University, USA)199 (67, 66, 66)
Rueck continued his steady play with another 66, marking three straight rounds in the 60s. He’s been one of the most consistent players in the field.

5. Joshua Ryan (Liberty University, USA) – 200 (73, 64, 63)
Ryan exploded for a 63 after opening the week with a 73. His 10-under stretch over the last two rounds is the best of anyone in the field.

6. John Daniel Culbreth (Georgia, USA) – 200 (66, 71, 63)
Culbreth matched Ryan with a 63 of his own to join the top five. The ULM senior bounced back strongly after a tough second round.

7. Garrett Endicott (Mississippi State, USA) 201 (70, 66, 65)
Endicott quietly climbed the board with rounds of 66 and 65. His clean ball-striking has him just four shots off the lead.

8. Mateo Pulcini ( Arkansas, Argentina) – 201 (67, 67, 67)
Pulcini is the only player in the field with three identical rounds, each a 3-under 67. The Argentine remains firmly in the hunt with remarkable consistency.

9. Ryan Ford (Cincinnati, USA) – 201 (69, 66, 66)
Ford used back-to-back 66s to move into the top 10. His ability to close rounds strong has kept him right in contention.

10. Max Herendeen (University of Illinois, USA) – 202 (73, 65, 64)
Herendeen bounced back from a sluggish start with a 65-64 weekend. If he keeps trending this way, he could make a Saturday charge.
