Stanford Headlines Golfweek’s 2025–26 Women’s Preseason Rankings

Golfweek has released its 2025–26 women’s college golf preseason rankings, and Stanford opens the season at No. 1 after returning its full starting lineup from last year’s runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship.

Top 10 Teams

1. Stanford
The Cardinal bring back all five starters and remain unbeaten in stroke play since the spring of 2024. Four players are ranked inside the world’s top 10, including U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Megha Ganne and Women’s Amateur and European Ladies Amateur winner Paula Martin Sampedro.

2. Oregon
Oregon also returns its entire starting lineup. The Ducks are led by world No. 1 amateur Kiara Romero, joined by Suvichaya Vinijchaitham and Karen Tsuru. Freshman Sophie Han is expected to contribute immediately.

5. Arizona State
The Sun Devils return Patience Rhodes, Paula Schulz-Hanssen, and Beth Coulter. Freshman Pimpisa “Fai” Rubrong could be a key contributor in her first season.

6. Duke
Graduate student Andie Smith anchors the team, but highly touted freshmen Rianne Malixi, the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur and U.S. Girls’ Junior champion, and Avery McCrery are expected to make immediate impacts.
