Seven Days Out: CGN to Livestream the State Open of Virginia

The 2025 State Open of Virginia returns July 18–20 at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, where 144 of the region’s top amateurs and professionals will compete across 54 holes for one of Virginia’s most prestigious titles.

CGN will provide exclusive live coverage on YouTube starting Saturday, July 19, and continuing through the final round on Sunday, July 20. Broadcasts will include featured groups, scoring insights, and on-site reporting from Independence.

The championship is conducted by the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) in partnership with the Middle Atlantic PGA (MAPGA). Founded in 1904, the VSGA governs amateur golf across Virginia and leads tournament operations, handicapping services, and junior player development. The MAPGA, formed in 1925, is one of the oldest PGA of America sections and represents PGA professionals throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and parts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Independence Golf Club, home to the VSGA headquarters, serves as host for the ninth time since 2010.

Live scoring will be available throughout the weekend via Golf Genius, with CGN’s full broadcast accessible on YouTube.
