Lance Simpson Wins Trans-Miss Amateur at 17 Under

Tennessee’s Lance Simpson captured the 2025 Trans-Mississippi Amateur title with a four-round total of 267 at The Pfau Course in Bloomington, Indiana. Simpson shot 64, 67, 67, and 69 to finish at 17 under, winning by four shots.

The redshirt senior was the only player to record all four rounds in the 60s. His victory is expected to boost his World Amateur Golf Ranking and put him in the conversation for Walker Cup selection later this year.

The Trans-Miss Amateur is part of the Elite Amateur Series and draws a top-tier field of collegiate and international players.

Kansas State’s Cooper Schultz finished second at 13 under. Australia’s Declan O’Donovan placed third at 12 under. Jack Beauchamp (TCU) and Noah Kent (Florida) tied for fourth at 11 under.
