Porter Cup to Host Top Amateurs July 16–19 at Niagara Falls Country Club
The 66th Porter Cup will be held July 16–19, 2025, at Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, New York. The tournament will host 113 top amateur players from around the world in a 72-hole stroke-play format. Both men’s and women’s divisions will compete, each featuring approximately 54 players.
Regarded as one of the top invitationals in amateur golf, the Porter Cup has helped launch the careers of Phil Mickelson, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, and Dustin Johnson. Winners receive a green blazer and an invitation to the Master of the Amateurs in Australia.
This year’s field includes Bryan Lee of Princeton, the Monroe Invitational champion and Ivy League Player of the Year, Joe Mahoney of Syracuse, runner-up at the New York State Amateur, and Ben MacLean of Canada, the 2024 Canadian Junior Boys Champion. Players from nine countries are expected, including representatives from Japan, South Korea, and Canada.
Wells Williams, the 2024 men’s champion, will not return after turning professional.
