Sergio Jimenez: Rising Star in Men's College Golf

Jimenez, a native of Madrid, Spain, and a graduate of Colegio Tajamar, has quickly emerged as one of the most promising young talents in men’s golf. According to Clippedd, he is currently ranked as the No. 10 men’s Division I golfer.

Before joining Utah, he had an impressive run in Spain. He won the Spanish Open P&P in 2019 with a remarkable 18-under performance, claimed Spain's U-16 Championship in 2020, secured the U-18 title in 2021, and earned a silver medal at the European Young Masters U-16 tournament.

During his time at Utah, Jimenez has continued to build an impressive resume. As a freshman, he competed in 14 events, tallying nine top-20 finishes—tied for the most on the team. He also delivered strong performances at the Husky Individual Invitational, the Duck Invite, and The Goodwin. Notably, he achieved the highest finish ever by a Utah freshman at the Pac-12 Tournament, tying for 15th place.

Now in his sophomore year, Jimenez is determined to finish the season on a high note!
