Samantha Whateley Wins 99th Carolinas Women’s Amateur in Playoff

Samantha Whateley, an incoming junior at Mississippi State, captured the 99th Carolinas Women’s Amateur Championship at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls in Salem, South Carolina. Whateley and Clemson senior Sydney Roberts finished tied at 213 (3 under) after three rounds, forcing sudden death. Whateley clinched the title with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

She previously secured her exemption into the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur by winning the North Carolina Women’s Amateur on June 12 at Cutter Creek.
