LPGA Launches Direct Advancement Pathway for Top College Golfers

The LPGA has announced the Collegiate Advancement Pathway (LCAP), a new system launching with the 2025–26 season that awards Epson Tour membership to the top ten NCAA Division I women’s golfers based on a two-year ranking.

The LCAP rankings will be determined by performance in college tournaments and select amateur events recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Points will be awarded based on finish, field strength, and event quality. Rankings will be updated weekly in the spring and posted on the LPGA.com website.

To be eligible, players must compete in NCAA Division I women’s golf, complete at least two seasons of play, and either finish four years of academics, graduate early, or exhaust NCAA eligibility. Players must also maintain amateur status through season’s end.

The top ten players will receive Epson Tour status with tiered benefits:

  • Rank 1 earns full Epson Tour membership through 2027 and a spot in the final stage of LPGA Q-Series.

  • Ranks 2 through 5 earn the same tour status and an earlier-stage Q-Series exemption.

  • Ranks 6 through 10 earn limited status on the Epson Tour and Q-Series access.

This is the LPGA’s first formal advancement structure for college golfers, modeled after the PGA Tour University system on the men’s side. Full details on point distribution and rankings will be released before the program’s official launch.
