Ava Merrill Wins 96th Georgia Women’s Amateur at Dunwoody Country Club

Ava Merrill, an incoming junior at Vanderbilt University, captured the 96th Georgia Women’s Amateur Championship with a victory at Dunwoody Country Club in Atlanta. The Johns Creek native fired rounds of 66, 69, and 66 to finish at 201, 15 under par, and secure a two-shot win over Savannah’s Mary Miller, a recent transfer to Ole Miss.

Cumming’s Kylie Chung finished solo third at 11 under. Georgia Southern’s Loralie Cowart placed fourth, while Princeton commit Thanana Kotchasanmanee rounded out the top five.
