Oklahoma Claims Fourth Straight Ka’anapali Classic Title With Record Performance

Oklahoma continued its run of dominance at the Ka’anapali Classic, securing a fourth consecutive victory with a historic showing at Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course in Hawaii.

The Sooners finished 63-under (789), establishing a new program scoring record and posting the fifth-lowest team total vs. par in NCAA history. The result also marked head coach Ryan Hybl’s 50th career win, placing him among just 17 Division I coaches to reach the milestone.

Freshman Ryder Cowan led the charge, delivering rounds of 65-62-67 to finish 20-under (193), tying Oklahoma’s all-time scoring mark and earning his first collegiate victory. Cowan’s 62 in the second round fueled his wire-to-wire control of the field.

Jase Summy closed at 18-under for a share of third, while Clark Van Gaalen, PJ Maybank III, and Asher Whitaker each placed inside the top 20, underscoring Oklahoma’s depth across the lineup.

With the win, Oklahoma has now collected at least one tournament title in 16 straight semesters, extending one of the most consistent stretches in college golf.
