Rocco Salvitti Wins 2025 Pennsylvania Amateur, Sets Scoring Record at Huntsville

Rocco Salvitti etched his name into the record books by winning the 2025 Pennsylvania State Amateur Championship with a tournament-record score of 199 (17 under) over 54 holes at Huntsville Golf Club.

The Notre Dame standout posted three sub-70 rounds to earn the title, becoming the second consecutive Fighting Irish golfer to claim a state amateur crown. Salvitti’s dominant performance included consistent ball-striking and composure under pressure, culminating in a wire-to-wire victory.

With the win, Salvitti earns an exemption into the 125th U.S. Amateur Championship, set for August 11–17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. He will join Notre Dame teammates Jacob Modleski, Nate Stevens, and Pavel Tsar in the field.
