Fang and Swanwick Share Medalist Honors, Sweet 16 Set for Friday at Western Amateur
Ethan Fang and Zack Swanwick each posted 275 across four rounds at Skokie Country Club to share co-medalist honors in the stroke play portion of the 2025 Western Amateur. Fang, an Oklahoma State sophomore from Plano, Texas, fired rounds of 69-69-68-69. Swanwick, a University of Florida junior from Napier, New Zealand, matched him with rounds of 69-69-67-70.
Both players earned the top two seeds entering match play, which begins Friday with the Round of 16.
Three players tied for third at three under: Tommy Morrison (Texas), Garrett Endicott (Mississippi State), and Max Herendeen (Illinois). Eight players tied at two under, and seven others finished at one under to round out the 16-player bracket.
