Lottie Woad Turns Professional, Set for LPGA Debut
Lottie Woad, the world’s top-ranked amateur, has turned professional and will make her LPGA debut at the Women’s Scottish Open.
The 21-year-old from Farnham, England, announced her decision after winning the KPMG Irish Women’s Open and finishing tied for third at the Evian Championship. She leaves the amateur ranks as a two-time first-team All-American at Florida State and the first Englishwoman to reach No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
Woad joined the England Golf setup in 2017 and became a leading figure for both Team England and Florida State. Her amateur highlights include wins at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the European Ladies’ Amateur, and multiple Curtis Cup appearances for Great Britain and Ireland.
She will make her professional debut this week at Dundonald Links.
