Lee Moves to No. 1 in DII Coaches Poll

Lee University climbed back to No. 1 in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, released October 31, marking the program’s first top ranking since September 2022. The Flames won two of four fall tournaments, including an 18 shot victory at the Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite on October 21.

That win secured a notable milestone, as individual champion Drew Zielinski earned a spot in the PGA TOUR Butterfield Bermuda Championship, becoming the first active NCAA Division II player to receive an exemption into a PGA TOUR event. Lee finished the fall with five first place votes and 405 total points.

Grand Valley State claimed the No. 2 spot with seven first place votes, followed by West Florida at No. 3 with three first place votes. Central Oklahoma and Florida Southern rounded out the top five.

Wingate (one first place vote), Georgia Southwestern, Columbus State, St. Mary’s (TX), and Catawba completed the top 10. A total of 25 additional programs received votes, and the poll will resume in early 2026.
