Semifinals Set at the Western Amateur
Day four at the 123rd Western Amateur at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois, produced a semifinal field featuring four first time Sweet 16 qualifiers. Stroke play co medalists Ethan Fang of Oklahoma State and Zackary Swanwick of Florida advanced to Saturday’s semifinals along with Jacob Modleski of Notre Dame and Jase Summy of Oklahoma. Fang and Swanwick each posted five under par in stroke play earlier this week to share medalist honors, becoming the first co medalists to reach the semifinals since 1975.
