Delisanti Wins NYS Amateur in Sudden Death Finish at Yahnundasis

Anthony Delisanti of Valparaiso University captured the 2025 New York State Amateur Championship in a sudden-death playoff at Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, New York, dramatically edging Duke’s John Hiller.

A rain delay disrupted the final round, but Delisanti stayed composed down the stretch, firing a final round 69 to reach five under. Hiller matched the number to force extra holes. As play extended into the evening, Delisanti secured the title with steady execution under pressure.

The win marks a major moment for the Wheatfield native, who is set to compete at the Porter Cup in a few weeks and will appear in a Korn Ferry Tour event later this month.
