Carolina Chaccara wins Inkster Award
Wake Forest senior Carolina Lopez-Chacarra has been honored with the 2025 Juli Inkster Award presented by Workday, recognizing her as the top-ranked NCAA Division I women’s golfer completing her collegiate career. This accolade celebrates student-athletes who choose to complete all four years of college before turning professional, mirroring the path of LPGA legend Juli Inkster.
Chacarra's senior season was marked by two individual victories, including the NCAA Lubbock Regional Championship, and six top-five finishes. She concluded the season ranked sixth nationally and 20th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
As part of the award, Chacarra will receive sponsor exemptions to the 2025 Meijer LPGA Classic and The Standard Portland Classic, advance directly to the second stage of the LPGA Q-Series, and participate in a two-day mentorship retreat with Juli Inkster. Additionally, Workday will provide $50,000 through the Juli Inkster Foundation to support her transition to professional golf.
In a recent interview with CGN, Chacarra, affectionately known as “CeCe,,” shared insights into her journey from Madrid to Wake Forest, her growth as a player, and her aspirations for the future. She emphasized the importance of commitment and the support she received throughout her collegiate career.
The Juli Inkster Award, established in 2020, is administered by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association and managed by Outlyr. It honors senior collegiate golfers who exemplify dedication to their teams and sport.
