Maelynn Kim, a rising sophomore at the University of Houston, won the 2025 Southern Amateur Championship at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Mississippi, with a 2&1 victory in Friday’s final match.

After advancing through stroke play qualifying, Kim navigated four rounds of match play to reach the championship. She won twice on Thursday to secure her spot in the final, then closed out the title match on the 17th hole to earn the biggest win of her amateur career.
