Weekly Recap: Tournament Winners

Welcome to this week’s edition of our tournament winners' recap! Here’s a look at the top performances from the past week:

Riverbend Intercollegiate

  • Division: D1 Women’s Golf

  • Winner: Houston dominated the tournament, sweeping both the team and individual championships. Moa Svedenskiold led the way, posting a 10-under 206 at Riverbend Country Club.

Lamkin Invitational

  • Division: D1 Men’s Golf

  • Winner: San Diego State claimed first place at San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, CA. Justin Hastings set a tournament record with a 16-under 200.

Emerald Coast Collegiate

  • Division: D2 Women’s Golf

  • Winner: Flagler secured the top spot at Sandestin Resort & Club, shooting an 8-under-par. Henriette Stranda led the way with a 9-under 204.

Butler Don Benbow Spring Invitational

  • Division: D1 Women’s Golf

  • Winner: Western Michigan repeated as champions at the Butler Don Benbow Spring Invitational, closing with a 316 at East Lake Woodlands Golf Club. This marks the 20th tournament win in program history and the second under head coach Kim Moore.

2025 Southeastern Collegiate

  • Division: D2 Men’s Golf

  • Winner: West Florida came out on top at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, GA. Cooper Tendick led the team, finishing in first place with a 12-under-par performance.

Bandon Dunes Championship

  • Division: D1 Men’s Golf

  • Winner: Oregon claimed victory at the Bandon Dunes Championship, held at Bandon Dunes Golf Course in Bandon, OR. The team shot an 8-under 276, with three players finishing inside the top 10.

Yale Invitational West

  • Division: D1 Women’s Golf

  • Winner: North Carolina secured the title at PGA West - La Quinta, CA. The team set a record for most strokes under par over 54 holes, breaking the previous mark by seven strokes. Their total of 833 strokes is the second-lowest in Carolina history.

Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate

  • Division: D2 Women’s Golf

  • Winner: Wingate captured first place at Stonebridge Golf Club. Amely Bochaton led the team to a sweep of both the team and individual titles, finishing at 7-under 209 over 54 holes.

Pioneer Shootout

  • Division: D2 Men’s Golf

  • Winner: Cal State San Marcos secured its first team title of the season at Corica Park Golf Club, winning the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout with a 14-under 850. Greg Mouser led the tournament wire-to-wire, posting multiple under-par rounds.

Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

  • Division: D1 Men’s Golf

  • Winner: Clemson claimed first place at Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, SC. All five Clemson golfers finished in the top 15, leading the team to a five-shot victory. Clemson won the event with a total score of 3-over-par 563, highlighted by a 6-under-par 274 in the second round—the best team round of the tournament.
