Carolina Chaccara: Standout Star at Wake Forest

CGN Player Highlight: Carolina Chaccara @ Wake Forest

Carolina Chaccara, a senior at Wake Forest University and a native of Madrid, Spain, has established herself as one of the top Women’s D1 golfers. Ranked No. 5 in women’s collegiate golf by Clippd, Chaccara has excelled both in Spain and the United States.

Since joining Wake Forest, Chaccara’s career has been nothing short of exceptional. As a freshman, she made an immediate impact, earning ACC Freshman of the Year honors and a spot on the All-ACC Team. She also set a program record for the lowest 54-hole score in relation to par at the UCF Challenge, finishing 19-under (197). She continued her dominance as a sophomore, once again making the All-ACC Team and earning Second Team All-America honors for the second straight year.

Her junior season further solidified her reputation, with three top-five tournament finishes. Now in her senior year, she continues to shine. Chaccara placed third at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate with a 10-under finish and tied for fourth at the Charles Schwab Collegiate, helping lead the Demon Deacons to a first-place team finish.

We recently had the opportunity to interview Chaccara, where she shared insights into her journey, her passion for college golf, and her experiences competing in both Spain and the U.S. She also discussed her preparation for matches, her time at Wake Forest, and the bonds she has built with her teammates and head coach.
