Swedick and Ha Fire 68s to Share Lead at Women’s Open of Virginia

Kennedy Swedick of Albany, New York, and Kathryn Ha of Roanoke, Virginia, each shot 68 to share the lead after round one of the 3rd Women’s Open of Virginia at Farmington Country Club.

Swedick, a University of Virginia commit, and Ha, a former VSGA Junior Girls’ champion, were the only players to post scores under par during Monday’s opening round.

Shannon McKew-Strawoet, a PGA professional from Sterling, Virginia, holds third place at even-par 70. Addie Doroh, a Charlottesville native and University of Richmond golfer, sits in solo fourth with a 71.

Ten players round out the top of the leaderboard:
