Stricker Shines in Wisconsin Match Play Title
University of Wisconsin golfer Izzi Stricker secured the 2025 Wisconsin State Women’s Match Play Championship title with a decisive 5 and 4 victory over Payton Haugen in the final match held at Old Hickory Golf Club in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
Stricker closed out the match on the 14th hole, capturing the championship in convincing fashion. Her win adds to a standout summer that has included multiple top finishes across regional competition. The match play event, organized by the Wisconsin Women’s State Golf Association, featured several of the top amateur players in the state.
Representing the Badgers and continuing a notable family legacy in Wisconsin golf, Stricker displayed consistent control from tee to green throughout the tournament. She joins a strong list of past champions in the event’s long-standing history.
