Stanford to Host Play for Her at the Stanford Intercollegiate
The Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted by Dr. Condoleezza Rice, will be held October 17–19 at Stanford Golf Course in support of the Play for Her initiative, which raises funds for breast cancer research.
This year’s event honors Northwestern head coach Emily Fletcher, a 15-year survivor whose story continues to inspire across college golf. Proceeds will benefit Stanford oncologist Dr. Jennifer Caswell Jin and her research toward developing a breast cancer vaccine.
The 19 team field features several top ranked programs, including Stanford, Texas, Oregon, USC, Arizona State, LSU, Northwestern, Tennessee, and Oklahoma State. Ten of the top 20 players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking are competing, led by Oregon’s Kiara Romero, Stanford’s Paula Martín Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta, Meja Örtengren, and Megha Ganne, along with USC’s Jasmine Koo and Catherine Park.
The par-71 course measures 6,278 yards and will again showcase one of the strongest lineups in collegiate women’s golf.
