Princeton’s Reed Greyserman Wins 70th Ike Stroke Play Championship in Playoff Thriller

Reed Greyserman, a standout from Princeton University, captured the 70th Ike MGA Stroke Play Championship title on Tuesday after prevailing in a three-man playoff at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey.

Greyserman shot a final-round 68 to finish at 9-under-par 207 across 54 holes, matching Mike Rothberg and Nathan Han atop the leaderboard. Han surged into contention with a 7-under 65 in the final round, while Rothberg posted a 66 to earn a spot in the playoff.

The trio returned to the course for a three-hole aggregate playoff on holes 7, 8, and 9. After each player made par on the opening hole, Greyserman pulled ahead with birdies on the 8th and 9th. Rothberg nearly forced extra holes after a strong approach on the par-5 9th, but his eagle putt narrowly missed.

The win marked Greyserman’s first Ike title and capped off a tightly contested championship. The Ike, administered by the Metropolitan Golf Association since 1986, is among the premier amateur stroke play tournaments in the Northeast and was first held in 1953.
