Preview: 125th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship
The 125th U.S. Women’s Amateur will be contested August 4–10, 2025, at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort’s Bandon Dunes Course in Bandon, Oregon. The par-72 layout, measuring 6,310 yards, was designed by David McLay Kidd and opened in 1999. This is the ninth USGA championship hosted at the resort and the first since the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur.
A total of 1,475 entries were accepted from female amateurs with a Handicap Index of 2.4 or lower. Qualifying took place at 24 sites in the United States and Canada from June 17 to July 14. The starting field of 156 players will compete in 36 holes of stroke play on August 4–5, with the low 64 advancing to match play. Five rounds of match play will follow, concluding with a 36-hole championship match on August 10.

Rianne Malixi (Philippines): Defending champion and 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior champion, the second player in USGA history to win both titles in the same year. Competed in the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open and Amundi Evian Championship.
Maria Jose Marin (Colombia): 2025 NCAA individual champion at Arkansas with multiple collegiate wins. Semifinalist in the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur.
Megha Ganne (Holmdel, N.J.): 2021 U.S. Women’s Open low amateur, three-time U.S. Women’s Open qualifier, and semifinalist in the 2019 U.S. Women’s Amateur.
Farah O’Keefe (Austin, Texas): Runner-up at the 2025 Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland and 2022 Women’s Western Amateur champion.
Kiara Romero (San Jose, Calif.): 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior champion and 2025 NCAA Championship top-10 finisher.
Emilia Migliaccio Doran (Charlotte, N.C.): Four-time All-American at Wake Forest and 2022 North & South Women’s Amateur champion.
