Patience Rhodes: Standout at Arizona State University

Patience Rhodes, a redshirt sophomore from Bath, England, and a graduate of Bath Kingswood School, has emerged as a rising talent in Division I women’s college golf at Arizona State University (ASU). She is currently ranked #24 in the nation, according to Clippd.

Pre-ASU Career & Amateur Success

Before joining ASU, Rhodes claimed victory at the 2021 English Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship, solidifying her status as a promising young golfer. She also secured a win at the 2020 Memorial Norberto Goizueta competition in Spain. Additionally, she represented England at the European Girls’ Team Championship, making a significant contribution to the team’s runner-up finish.

Rhodes was one of three signees in her recruiting class ranked in the Top 400 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) and currently holds the 34th spot in the European Golf Rankings.

Collegiate Career at ASU

Despite redshirting her freshman year due to injury, Rhodes has made an impressive impact at ASU. One of her major accomplishments came when she secured a victory at the St. Rule Trophy at St. Andrews, a major milestone in her amateur career.

Since returning to competition, Rhodes has demonstrated resilience and excellence, contributing significantly to ASU’s team victory at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate with a top-six individual finish, shooting an even-par 72. Her continued success has earned her a spot on the ANNIKA Award Fall Watch List, recognizing her among the top female collegiate golfers.
