Ethan Day, a senior at the University of North Georgia and a graduate of Dalton High School, has established himself as one of the top NCAA Division II men’s golfers. He is currently ranked No. 20 in the DII national rankings.
Since arriving in North Georgia, Day has built an impressive resume. His honors include being named PBC Men’s Golfer of the Week, earning a spot on the PING Southeast All-Region Team, selection to the PBC All-Conference Second Team, and recognition on the 2023 Cateechee Fall Invitational All-Tournament Team. Off the course, he has demonstrated academic excellence, being named a PBC Presidential Honor Roll Presidential Scholar.
We recently had the opportunity to speak with Ethan about his journey in the game. In the interview, he shared how he picked up golf at a very young age while also playing baseball early on. His father played a key role in introducing him to golf and showing him how to carry himself like a professional both on and off the course.
Ethan reflected on his favorite moments competing with his teammates, the importance of having a strong mental game in golf, and his goals for the rest of the season. He also spoke about his ambitions to compete as an amateur in events like the Georgia Open and to pursue Q School in the future.
