Nicole Gal Takes Solo Lead at Women’s Porter Cup with Four-Under 66

Nicole Gal of Canada and Ole Miss fired a flawless four-under 66 to grab the solo lead after the opening round of the Women’s Porter Cup at Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, New York. Gal carded four birdies and no bogeys in a composed performance to separate herself atop the leaderboard.

Abbey Schutte of the University of Arkansas and Bella Dovhey, a University of Miami commit, are tied for second at two under after matching rounds of 68.

Grace Anderson of Canada and Pepperdine University and Madeline Bante of the University of Notre Dame are tied for fourth at even par.

Six players sit at one over, including Augusta University’s Gwendolyn Yarnall, Ball State’s Sarah Gallagher, Arkansas’s Kendall Todd, Elon’s Kelly Zhao, and Oklahoma State’s Lucy Darr.
