NCAA DI Men's Golf Regionals Recap

The 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Regionals concluded on May 14, setting the stage for the national championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, from May 23–28. Thirty teams and six individuals not on advancing teams secured their spots in the championship field.

Urbana Regional – Atkins Golf Club, Urbana, IL

    Championship Outlook

The NCAA Championship will feature 30 teams and six individual qualifiers competing in 54 holes of stroke play. The top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on those teams will advance to a final round of stroke play to determine the individual national champion and the eight teams that will move on to match play. 

Teams like Illinois, Auburn, and Florida State enter the championship with momentum from their regional victories. Individual standouts such as Luke Clanton and Paul Chang will also be players to watch as the competition unfolds in Carlsbad.
