Metropolis Intercollegiate Invitational Set to Showcase Top Programs in White Plains

The 2025 Metropolis Intercollegiate Invitational will bring together a competitive field of NCAA Division I programs for two days of play at Metropolis Country Club, one of New York’s premier private clubs. The event is co-hosted by Columbia University and Metropolis Country Club.

About Metropolis Country Club

Founded in 1922 and located in White Plains, Metropolis Country Club has long been a fixture in the Metropolitan golf community. The course was designed by Herb Strong and A. W. Tillinghast and plays as a par-70 championship layout. Known for its precision demands, the course features narrow fairways, well-positioned bunkers, and fast greens.

The club’s sixth hole is considered one of the finest in the region and has been ranked among the 500 Best Holes in the World. In 2025, Golf Digest recognized Metropolis among the Top 50 Courses in New York. With its history of hosting elite amateur and professional competitions, the club is well-positioned to test a strong collegiate field.
