Megha Ganne Earns 2025 MGA Women’s Player of the Year Honors

Stanford senior Megha Ganne capped off a standout season by claiming the 2025 MGA Women’s Player of the Year title, securing her place among the most accomplished amateur golfers in the region.

The Holmdel, New Jersey native opened her year with a tie for seventh at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, marking her fifth appearance in the prestigious event. She followed that with a tie for tenth individually at the NCAA Division I National Championship and represented the United States in the 2025 Palmer Cup.

Ganne’s season-defining moment came at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, where she won the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. She built a decisive lead midway through the 36-hole final and went on to defeat Brooke Biermann of Missouri 4 and 3. The win added to her resume of victories over multiple top-20 players in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Ganne finished the season with 1,483 points to lead the MGA standings. U.S. Girls’ Junior semifinalist Rayee Feng of Fiddler’s Elbow finished second with 1,050 points, followed by Deepdale’s Ina Kim-Schaad with 1,022 points after earning her second U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur title.
