Golf’s Longest Day: Final U.S. Open Qualifying Preview for 2025

On Monday, June 2, more than 600 players will tee it up across 10 locations in the U.S. and Canada during “Golf’s Longest Day,” the final stage of qualifying for the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club (June 12–15). The event is open to professionals and amateurs with a USGA Handicap Index of 0.4 or better.

History and Broadcast

The U.S. Open’s two-stage qualifying system began in 1924 and remains one of the few pathways for amateurs and professionals alike to earn entry into a major. Final qualifying has long been referred to as "Golf’s Longest Day" due to the demanding schedule and high stakes.

Golf Channel will broadcast live coverage throughout the day, with updates from qualifying sites
