Gahman Wins 50th Palmetto Amateur; Eubanks and Cauthen Among Top Finishers
At historic Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, South Carolina, Nate Gahman of Albany, Georgia, closed with a final-round 67 to win the 50th Palmetto Amateur Invitational at six under par with a total of 204. Gahman surged on the back nine with four birdies in his final eight holes to secure a one-shot victory in one of the Southeast’s most prestigious amateur events.
Miles Eubanks of Charleston finished second at five under after consistent rounds of 68, 68, and 69. Charles Cauthen of Kentucky finished third at three under with rounds of 70, 66, and 71.
Sam Jackson placed fourth at two under with rounds of 73, 68, and 67. Nick Maccario and Chandler Mulkey tied for fifth at even par with totals of 210. Preston Hage, a North Carolina commit, and Hamilton Coleman, a Georgia commit, tied for seventh at one over. Christian Sease finished ninth at three over, while Layne Lambert closed with a 65 to post four over and tie for tenth.
