Colonial Set to Host Elite Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational

The Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab returns to Colonial Country Club from Sept. 28–30, bringing one of the most competitive fields in men’s college golf.

Thirteen of the nation’s top 25 programs are entered, highlighted by No. 1 Auburn, No. 2 Arizona State, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 7 Oklahoma, and No. 8 Virginia. Alabama, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Texas Tech, Pepperdine, Georgia, Stanford, and host TCU complete the field.

The rosters feature 10 players ranked inside the top 25 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking, eight of the top nine in the PGA TOUR University standings, and seven 2025 Walker Cup participants. Leading the group is Auburn junior Jackson Koivun, the world’s top-ranked amateur and 2024 Ben Hogan Award winner. Virginia’s Ben James (No. 2), Oklahoma’s Jase Summy (No. 4), and Texas teammates Christiaan Maas (No. 6) and Tommy Morrison (No. 9) are also set to compete.

Play begins with a practice round on Sept. 28, followed by 36 holes on Monday with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. The final round tees off Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Colonial is hosting the event for the eighth time. First played as the Nike Collegiate Invitational in 2014, it became a permanent fixture in Fort Worth in 2020 and was rebranded as the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational in 2022. Last year, Oklahoma claimed the team title and North Carolina’s David Ford earned medalist honors, securing an exemption into the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge.

This year’s individual champion will also receive an invitation to the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge.
