CGN Feature Kieron Van Wyk Makes CAA History with Third Consecutive Golfer of the Year Honor

Charleston senior Kieron van Wyk has made history by becoming the first student-athlete to earn three consecutive CAA Golfer of the Year awards. The Ruimsig, South Africa native's remarkable achievement was announced on May 2, 2025, as part of the Coastal Athletic Association's postseason honors.

Van Wyk's 2024–25 season was marked by exceptional performances, including victories at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in March and the White Sands Collegiate Invitational in October. He achieved four top-three finishes and maintained an adjusted scoring average of 69.0, earning him a national ranking of No. 27, according to Clippd.

His consistent excellence has solidified his status as one of the premier collegiate golfers in the nation. Van Wyk's achievements have not only elevated the College of Charleston's golf program but have also inspired a new generation of golfers.
