Avery Weed Rising Star at Mississippi State
Avery Weed, a sophomore from Ocean Springs High School, has established herself as a rising star at Mississippi State University. According to Clippd, she is currently ranked 24th among NCAA Division I women’s golfers. Her impressive career has already earned her numerous accolades, including a selection to the 2024 All-Freshman Team and two SEC Golfer of the Week honors.
Weed’s consistency has led to multiple tournament victories, including a first-place finish at the Mississippi Women's Amateur. She also went undefeated (3-0) in the match play portion of the SEC Championship, helping lead her team to an SEC title. Additionally, she has secured five top-10 finishes throughout her collegiate career.
Her excellence extends beyond the course, as she has also been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
The sky is the limit for Avery Weed, and here’s to hoping her sophomore season is her best yet!
