Adams Finishes with Four Straight Birdies to Win English Women's Stroke Play Title at Alwoodley

University of Houston golfer Sadie Adams captured the 2025 English Women’s Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Alwoodley Golf Club in Leeds, United Kingdom. Representing Royal Birkdale, Adams closed with a final round of 70 to finish six under par for the tournament and secure a two-shot victory.

Adams birdied her final four holes on Sunday to separate herself from the field, posting rounds of 70, 70, 76, and 70 for a total score of 286. Her finish capped a steady week in challenging conditions, where she played the par fives at eight under across four rounds.

The event, conducted by England Golf, welcomed top amateur players from across the country. Adams’ win marks a major title in her career and adds to a growing list of international success for players in the University of Houston program.
