Breakthrough Junior Season
Brown led Kentucky with a career best 72.1 scoring average during the 2025-2026 season.
She recorded eight Top 20 finishes and six Top 10 finishes while winning the Johnie Imes Invitational and Cardinal Classic. Her 19 rounds of par or better were the second most in program history, and every round she played counted toward Kentucky’s team score.
Brown also fired a 64 at the Johnie Imes Invitational, tying the second lowest round in program history, and helped Kentucky advance to the NCAA Championship.
Road to Kentucky
Brown grew up in Eddyville and attended Lyon County High School, where she was the only golfer at the school. She did not begin focusing on competitive golf until age 15 after previously playing basketball.
Without a traditional high school team around her, Brown competed individually while her parents helped guide her tournament schedule. She also played junior events as she worked toward an opportunity to compete collegiately.
Kentucky had long been her preferred destination. Brown grew up following the Wildcats and ultimately chose the program after receiving opportunities from multiple schools within the state.
Developing Through Adversity
Brown’s college career began with a challenge when tendinitis in her left shoulder prevented her from playing during her first semester.
The time away from competition forced her to focus on rehabilitation, strength and taking care of her body. It also gave Brown time to adjust academically to college and eventually settle on communication as her major.
Her progression continued as a sophomore before a busy summer produced a breakthrough victory at the 2025 Kentucky Women’s Amateur. Brown viewed that win as an important confidence boost entering her junior season.
Women’s Western Amateur Semifinal Run
Brown carried that development into one of her strongest amateur performances this summer.
After earning the No. 23 seed at the Women’s Western Amateur, she advanced through three rounds of match play to reach the semifinals.
Brown defeated Nichakorn Pinprayoon in the Round of 32, Pimchompoo Chaisilprungruang 2 and 1 in the Round of 16 and Amelie Zalsman 3 and 1 in the quarterfinals. Her run ended against eventual champion Kylee Choi of Pepperdine in the semifinals.
The performance was particularly notable given Brown’s limited match play experience. She told CGN she entered the championship focused less on results and more on enjoying the competition, controlling her mindset and maintaining positive body language.

Family and Golf Development
Brown credits her parents for supporting her throughout junior golf despite neither having played the sport themselves. Her brother, Cullan, also played an important role in introducing her to golf and influencing her development.
Finding Confidence
Winning the 2025 Kentucky Women’s Amateur provided Brown with momentum after two seasons of collegiate development. That confidence carried into a junior season that produced two more victories and her best scoring average.
Learning to Enjoy Competition
Brown’s Women’s Western Amateur run reinforced the importance of separating her attitude from individual shots. Playing with fewer expectations helped her remain composed throughout both stroke play and match play.
Senior Season Goals
Kentucky’s primary team objective remains competing for a national championship. Individually, Brown wants to add more victories, continue lowering her scoring average, remain patient throughout the season and prioritize taking care of her body.
Personal Motivation
Brown’s connection to golf extends beyond competition.
Her older brother Cullan played for Kentucky and earned SEC All Freshman Team honors before passing away at age 20 following a battle with osteosarcoma.
