Garrett Endicott has quickly transitioned from a record setting career at Mississippi State to professional golf.

The San Antonio native completed his collegiate career in 2026 before earning PGA TOUR Americas status through PGA TOUR University. CGN caught up with Endicott at the Evans Scholars Invitational at The Glen Club, where he competed on the Korn Ferry Tour through a sponsor exemption earned from his performance in the Elite Amateur Golf Series.

A Record Setting Final Season

Endicott finished his senior season with five Top 10 finishes and nine Top 20 finishes across 12 team events.

One of his best performances came at the NCAA Winston Salem Regional, where he finished third at 14 under 199. His performance included a career low 64 and established Mississippi State records for its best individual score and finish at an NCAA Regional.

He closed his college career as the Bulldogs’ all time leader in scoring average.

Transitioning to Professional Golf

Endicott told CGN that earning status through PGA TOUR University had been a major goal since his junior year.

The biggest adjustment has come away from competition. Professional golf requires players to manage their own travel, lodging, transportation and recovery while competing week after week.

Endicott had already spent five consecutive weeks on the road when he spoke with CGN and emphasized how important taking care of his body has become during that stretch.

Competing at the Professional Level

Endicott compared PGA TOUR Americas fields to playing against the strongest players from elite college tournaments every week.

Rather than changing his game significantly, he has focused on trusting the skills that brought him success at Mississippi State and maintaining confidence against experienced professionals.

He has also experienced the financial and logistical realities of developmental tour golf, including sharing hotels and rental cars with other players and occasionally carrying his own bag.

Evans Scholars Invitational

Endicott earned his Korn Ferry Tour opportunity through his performance in the 2025 Elite Amateur Golf Series.

His summer included a runner up finish at the Southern Amateur, seventh at the Sunnehanna Amateur and a Western Amateur quarterfinal appearance. He finished third in the Elite Amateur standings, helping him secure the exemption into the Evans Scholars Invitational.

Endicott chose to miss a PGA TOUR Americas event for the opportunity to compete at the Korn Ferry Tour level.

At The Glen Club, he identified driving accuracy as one of the strengths that could help him contend while emphasizing the importance of aggressive scoring when opportunities arise.

Looking Ahead

Endicott’s professional career is only beginning, but his path has already taken him from Mississippi State record holder to PGA TOUR Americas member and Korn Ferry Tour competitor.

His early weeks as a professional have reinforced the importance of preparation, recovery and self belief as he works toward the next level of professional golf.
