The Mountain West Women’s Golf Championship is complete at Mission Hills Country Club, with UNLV claiming its second straight conference title and Boise State’s Leia Chung finishing atop the individual standings.
UNLV finished at 14 over following rounds of 4 over, 6 over, and 4 over to secure the team title. San Jose State placed second at 16 over, while Grand Canyon finished third at 20 over. Wyoming took fourth at 21 over, with Nevada rounding out the top five at 25 over. Colorado State finished sixth at 27 over, followed by Boise State at 38 over and San Diego State at 40 over. Fresno State and New Mexico tied for ninth at 48 over.
In the individual standings, Leia Chung of Boise State claimed medalist honors at 5 under after rounds of 3 under, 4 under, and 2 over. Wyoming’s Kiley Reisner finished second at 3 under.
Five players tied for third at even par including Kara Kaneshiro of Colorado State, Alexis Vakasiuola of Grand Canyon, and UNLV’s Pin Hsi Chen and Foong Zi Yu.
Nevada’s Gabby Kano finished seventh at 1 over. San Jose State’s Kleopatra Kozakiewicz and Regina Roldan tied for eighth at 3 over. UNLV’s Lana Yamagata rounded out the top 10 at 4 over.
