Long Beach State captured its fourth consecutive Big West Men’s Golf Championship at La Quinta Country Club, finishing at 48 under to secure the team title.
Long Beach State recorded rounds of 12 under, 18 under, and 18 under to separate from the field. Cal Poly finished second at 1 under, while UC Irvine placed third at 4 over. UC Santa Barbara, Hawaii, and UC San Diego tied for fourth at 7 over.
UC Davis finished seventh at 11 over, followed by CSU Fullerton in eighth at 18 over. UC Riverside placed ninth at 36 over, and CSU Northridge finished tenth at 43 over.
In the individual standings, Long Beach State’s Steen Zeman earned medalist honors at 11 under with rounds of 5 under, 6 under, and even par. Teammates Jack Cantlay and Jaden Huggins tied for second at 10 under.
Alejandro De Castro placed fourth at 9 under, while Krishnav Nikhil Chopraa finished fifth at 7 under to give Long Beach State five players inside the top five.
Hawaii’s Dane Watanabe finished sixth at 5 under. UC Santa Barbara’s Dylan Ma and UC Irvine’s Rei Harashima tied for seventh at 4 under.
UC Davis’ Zhenxian Zhang placed ninth at 3 under, while Cal Poly’s Rafael Bobo Lloret finished tenth at 2 under.
