North Dakota State captured the Summit League Men’s Golf Championship at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona, finishing at 5 under to secure the team title.
North Dakota State recorded rounds of 2 over, 1 under, and 6 under, using a strong final round to separate from the field. Denver finished second at 1 over after a closing 6 under, while South Dakota placed third at 7 over. Oral Roberts finished fourth at 11 over after posting the low round of the day at 8 under.
South Dakota State finished fifth at 13 over, followed by St. Thomas at 14 over. Omaha placed seventh at 19 over, Kansas City finished eighth at 28 over, and North Dakota rounded out the field at 30 over.
The individual competition finished in a four way tie at 4 under, but Oral Roberts’ Gustav Liljeberg emerged as the Summit League individual champion after winning a playoff. Denver’s Jet Hernandez, Omaha’s Ethan Smith, and South Dakota’s Parker Etzel each shared the lead after regulation.
North Dakota State’s Andrew Ballou finished fifth at 3 under, while teammate Gabe Benson placed sixth at 1 under. Denver’s Willis Panzarello finished seventh at even par.
Oral Roberts’ Jorge Sanchez Gutierrez, South Dakota State’s Drew Teeter, and North Dakota State’s Carter White tied for eighth at 1 over.
