The 2026 Southland Conference Women’s Golf Championship concluded at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas, with UTRGV securing the team title and Houston Christian’s Sara Pihlajamaki earning medalist honors.
UTRGV finished at 4 over with rounds of 4 over, even, and even. Houston Christian placed second at 5 over, followed by Incarnate Word at 12 over. Texas A&M Corpus Christi finished fourth at 31 over, with East Texas A&M in fifth at 39 over.
Lamar placed sixth at 41 over, while Stephen F. Austin rounded out the field at 100 over.
In the individual standings, Pihlajamaki finished at 5 under with rounds of 3 under, even, and 2 under to claim the title. A four way tie for second at even par included Houston Christian’s Alyssa Stewart, UTRGV’s Miriam Barcalova and Pitchayapa Pungpho, and Incarnate Word’s Arwen Settipalli.
UTRGV’s Natalia Rodriguez and Incarnate Word’s Isabella Saenz tied for sixth at 1 over, while Incarnate Word’s Jordan Sandoval finished eighth at 3 over. Houston Christian’s Natcha Makmanee placed ninth at 4 over, and Alejandra Ferrer of Houston Christian rounded out the top 10 at 6 over.
