West Florida Opens at No. 1 in Division II Preseason Coaches Poll

West Florida begins the 2025–26 season ranked No. 1 in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, released August 29 by the GCAA.

The Argonauts, winners of five tournaments last season including the program’s third national championship, earned 13 first-place votes and 373 points. It marks the first time since August 2021 that West Florida has held the top spot.

North Georgia is ranked No. 2 with 347 points, followed by Lincoln Memorial at No. 3 with 307. Florida Southern (296) and Lee (277) round out the top five.

Georgia Southwestern (258), Oklahoma Christian (244, one first-place vote), Colorado Christian (239, one first-place vote), Wingate (229), and USC Aiken (218) complete the top 10.
